Division of Agricultural, Cooperative and Community Education and Training (DEFFAC)

(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Division, the Division of Agricultural, Cooperative and Community Education and Training is responsible for:
– the design, development and implementation of agricultural education and training policy;
– the integration of agricultural, cooperative and community education into school and university education systems, in liaison with the relevant administrations;
– the organization of training, advanced training and refresher courses in liaison with the relevant administrations;
– the technical and pedagogical control of private agricultural education establishments;
– the development of initial and/or modular, continuing and itinerant training programs;
– the organization of entrance examinations and competitive examinations in public agricultural and cooperative education establishments, and the awarding of diplomas, in liaison with the relevant administrations and organizations;
– monitoring the operation of public agricultural and cooperative education establishments;
– the development of sectoral performance indicators.
(2) It includes:
– the Teaching and Training Programs Unit;
– the Monitoring and Control Unit for Agricultural, Cooperative and Community Training Establishments.
